London Flamenco Festival
13-27 February
Saturday, February 13 to Monday 15: Nuevo Ballet Español: Cambio de Tercio. Nuevo Ballet Español is at the forefront of emerging trends in Spanish dance and flamenco, drawing on traditional dance, a 21st century pop sensibility, and folkloric influences from Andalucía. This is a new show.
Wednesday, 17 to Friday, 19: Eva Yerbabuena famed for her speed, power and dramatic footwork, with Lluvia, also a new show.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21: Rafaela Carrasco: Vamos Al Tiroteo. The award-winning modern flamenco choreographer with the UK premiere of her latest work, updating a selection of popular Spanish songs originally recorded by Federico García Lorca in 1931 and sung by the dance star La Argentinita.
Monday 22 to Thursday 25: Maria Pagés with Self Portrait - modern flamenco shaped in her own image.
Friday 26 and Saturday 27: Pastora Galván, Manuel Liñán, Belen López, Rocío Molina -Gala Flamenco: Todo Cambia, featuringome of the most important new figures in flamenco.
